Shanda's Bachelorette Party

Jaycie, me and Niki. Would not have gone if it weren't for these two (and McCoy). I don't usually care much for social events, especially ones that involve games, but I had a really good time catching up with some old friends. :)

Buffalo, NY

For a quick getaway, I went to Niagara Falls and Buffalo, NY with Shaun and his parents. We went to visit Shaun's dad's sisters. They hadn't seen Shaun since he was about 10 years old. The first day we were up there we went to Niagara and rode the Maid of the Mist which is the boat that takes you right up to the falls. It was really beautiful. Hard to take alot of pictures while you're getting wet, though. Haha.

This is Shaun using a small child as a shield because he has smarted off to his dad, Dan, who is ready to smack him upside the head. Haha.... I had to take pictures of this. Was just too funny to miss.

August Birthdays

Fireman, policeman and hospital personnel.... there were about 5 of us with August birthdays within about one week's time. We decided to go out and celebrate. Mexican food and karaoke. It was a pretty entertaining night.

Bryan's Visit

Bryan came into town for a cousin's wedding. He stayed with me while he was in town, and he orchestrated a night out with some old high school class mates. Jeremy had his kids for a month (from Arizona), so we went to his house and ordered pizza and just hung out, looked at year books and laughed until we cried. Jeremy's house is full of antiques of his dad's .... and oddly enough Hockey paraphernalia.... Some of the antiques are creepy old pictures. Jeremy told Bryan that this picture below... was a picture of his great great great great grandpa (it actually came from a flea market...lol).

We tried for a long time to get a group shot. Unfortunately we had the giggles in a major way. Bryan, who is addicted to pictures, maintained a good look the whole time, the rest of us.... not so much.... haha

Niki's 30th Birthday

For Niki's birthday, we went to Fiesta Ranchera for dinner and then out to karaoke. I didn't have the nerve to get up and sing, but i had a great time watching my co-workers embarrass themselves.

Work friends....

Last weekend, I went out for an evening with some work friends. We went to a drag show at ISU. It was pretty funny. Women dressed up as men and men dressed up as women.... some were WAY too convincing, but most were just really over the top and funny. Some of their gowns were amazing. After the show, we went bowling which I haven't done in years.... and it showed. Sadly, I wasn't the only one. I won the first game with a whopping score of 124.... haha.

Indy Trip

On Facebook, I found my friend, Bryan, from high school. We saw each other once since high school (at the 10 year reunion), and really haven't talked since. We got to chatting online and realized we have alot more in common now than we ever did in high school. We have similar taste in movies and music, and we have very similar senses of humor. I went to visit him and his fiance in Indy.
This is Jersey. She became my friend really quickly. I think they never pet her... haha.

Jersey nearly booted me off the sofa. She thinks she is a lap dog, and she... would be wrong.

Saturday, Bryan and I spent the day shopping. I needed new clothes for work for the summer, and he just has a shoe addiction. We had a good time.... haha. As you can tell, I look like a total schlub and he is in a dry-cleaned, pressed white dress shirt and designer jeans. It was great to feel like a classless hillbilly for an entire day. LOL
