I'm no Tina Fey, but I thought it would be funny. In hindsight, it probably would have sparked political conversations that would have just made me angry, so maybe it was a blessing that I didn't go.

Happy Halloween to me....
So, I decided to work at the clinic yesterday since all the other providers wanted to take their kids trick or treating. I wasn't worried about my Halloween party, because the clinic closes at 8p - plenty of time for me to get home, change and go out. However...... I got a phone call from the E.R. saying there had been a pile up on the interstate and they were getting 7 traumas, so they asked if I could come in and help. By the time I left at 2 am, it was a little late for the party, but I wanted people to see my costume anyway, so here it is.....

Dear Beej (Alias Sarah P), loved your costume...but you are probably right about it getting you into some controversial talks with what I would consider "goofy" people. I am wearing my tee shirt that says " A Womans Place is in the House....(on the front) on the back is a picture of the Whitehouse with big red lip kiss across it - and at the bottom - McCain Palin. I haven't worn it to many places....but going out for a walk. Lord willing I won't be run over. Also - been having blood pressure problems this week. The PA told me not to watch any TV for the next four days - to much stress!! He said this was the first time he has ever said that to a patient. He gave me a catapress to lover my pressure while I was at the office and then we proceeded to talk politics....after a few minutes he said - your pressure is never going to come down If I don't leave the room. I'm just thankful he was a Republican - otherwise I might have to switch Doctors!!!!
